Freakonomics: Teaching Prostitutes to Optimize Their Profits

Steve Levitt is best known for applying economic principles and theory to social problems like crime and abortion. He is co-author of Freakonomics, which spent years on the New York Times Best Seller list and has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide. His 2009 book, SuperFreakonomics, took a look at terrorism, global warming and prostitution.

As part of his research Levitt invited a high-priced escort to lunch and a relationship developed (purely platonic, of course). As only an innovative economist can, he helped her optimize her revenue. How? Just Watch.
