The Atlanta-based restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has a mouth-watering menu that often wins the hearts of fried chicken connoisseurs (yes, even though it is fast food,) and is a cultural icon of the Southern United States. But delicious chicken sandwiches and tenders aside, more and more customers are growing disheartened with the company’s stance on gay rights, particularly gay marriage.
Yesterday, Gawker featured a video by chef Hilah Johnson where she demonstrates how to make your very own version of a Chick-fil-A sandwich, sans the nasty political ingredients.

Steve Hildebrand, the deputy campaign manager for the 2008 Obama campaign, offered his thoughts in a 2009 Commonwealth Club event that occurred during the ongoing debate on California’s controversial Proposition 8 referendum.
