It’s amazing how quickly time flies by in the presidential campaign. Only months ago, the Republican field was heavy with talk of social issues and the federal debt, and only weeks ago, it was Obamacare and health-care reform.
Now, after the Supreme Court’s decision, and with the unemployment rate stuck above 8 percent and the economy in low drive, voters and pundits’ eyes have turned to what candidate is best qualified to fix America’s fiscal woes.
Barring any other major international developments in the next four months, the economy is likely to be The Issue of the election.
