The New York Times reported the successful launch of SpaceX’s unmanned rocket that will dock at the International Space Station.
“Mr. Musk is trying to show the world that a determined entrepreneur can start a rocket company from scratch and, a decade later, end up doing a job that has until now been the exclusive province of federal governments,” Kenneth Chang wrote.
For many, Musk’s successful effort ushers in a new era in spaceflight, one where commercial companies play an important role.
