Coming Up This Week: WIRED Business Conference, Frick Collection

Here’s a look at some of the programming coming up this week on FORA.tv:

On May 1, join us as we present the WIRED Business Conference 2012, hosted by WIRED magazine. Keynote speakers Marc Andreessen, founder and general partner of Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, James Dyson, industrial designer and founder of the Dyson company, and Alan Mulally, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company will join other influential thought-leaders to discuss ideas, innovation and game-changing business practices.

Last year, Bill Gates joined the WIRED editors onstage to discuss the potential of new energy technologies, including an always-controversial one: nuclear power.

On Saturday, May 5, the Frick Collection in New York City presents “Up and Down the Garden Path: Secrets of La Promenade Revealed”– an in-depth look at one of museum’s most treasured works by French painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Back in February, the Frick Collection examined La Promenade in addition to Renoir’s other large-scale works in an event titled, “Renoir’s Wall Power: Painting Large as an Impressionist” as part of the museum’s ongoing exhibit, Renoir, Impressionism, and Full-Length Painting.
