A Q&A Session with the Directors of “Saving Face”

One of the most poignant documentaries to come out last year was Saving Face, a movie by directors Daniel Junge and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy about Pakistani women who are brutalized by vicious acid attacks. These attacks, often perpetrated by husbands or someone close to the victim, leave these women physically and emotionally scared, with little access to any sort of reconstructive surgery.

Junge and Obaid-Chinoy won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short for their work on Saving Face and joined the Asia Society’s La Francis Hui to discuss the movie in a recent question and answer session:

Q&A with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Daniel Junge from The Asia Society on FORA.tv
