Move over barcodes: The proliferation of smartphones with scanning apps means more and more commercial products are relying on QR Codes (or Quick Response Codes) to convey information to a consumer. Originally created by a subsidiary of Toyota in order to track vehicles, QR Codes are popping up everywhere, especially in advertising.
