Countries that currently recognize Palestine as a sovereign nation
As we tune in today for the Palestinian debate on FORA.tv, “The U.N. Should Admit Palestine as a Full Member State,” let’s not forget the larger picture. This conflict does not just affect those living in the Middle East. It creates animosity between the Muslim, Christian and Jewish cultures in Europe.
This from a January 9 article in the International Herald Tribune, “The New Scapegoats of Europe”:
“[E]very new settlement announced in Israel, every rocket shot over a border or suicide bomber on a bus, and every retaliatory military strike exacerbates the problem and provides a setback here in Europe for those fighting hatred and bigotry.”
