Ever since its incorporation as a company in 1998, Google has dominated Internet search, cloud computing, and online advertising technology. Google is the number one most visited site in the world, processing over a billion search requests everyday, and has successfully tapped into software development for notebooks, tablets, and cell phones through its now-ubiquitous Android platform. But is Google at the height of its success? Roger McNamee, founder of the the San Francisco-based venture capital firm Elevation Partners, believes that Google’s strategic position in the market is threatened by innovation from another company in Silicon Valley called Apple, Inc.
