L2 Innovation Forum: Navigating the Digital Marketing Landscape

The rapid changes in digital marketing affect a number of industries, but none so more than retail. Prestige brands must keep up with all the innovations or risk becoming irrelevant.

On November 10, join FORA.tv as we present the third-annual L2 Innovation Forum 2011 live from New York City, hosted by L2, a think-tank for digital innovation.

Along with academics at the NYU Stern School of Business, the L2 Innovation Forum will present a series of lectures from industry thought leaders, authors, marketing specialists and CEOs from a number of well-known retail brands, social media companies and marketing firms.

Exploring the multifaceted digital marketplace

The forum’s first module will focus on current innovations in design and customer engagement. Greg Lindsay, author of Aerotropolis: The Way We’ll Live Next, a book that examines the next phase of globalization, will present research that debunks myths surrounding business innovation in China. He will also examine the unique digital-marketing opportunities in that country and offers takeaways that Western businesses can use.

The second module will examine the future of Web 2.0 from the perspective of several top-level executives at Wildfire, OneStop, m6d and Mashery. Each of these companies offers retail brands a way to grow their digital presence, such as creating platforms for engagement and monetization, display advertising, e-commerce solutions and API management.

In the final module, new prestige brands that have made a rapid impact in the market over the past few years will take the stage. While Amazon.com, Overstock.com and other online giants offer an unlimited range of products from books and media to clothing and jewelry, smaller e-commerce sites are enticing shoppers with specialized merchandise, such as custom-made eyeglasses, contemporary art and off-the-rack fashion. Find out how companies like Warby Parker and ArtSpace are making their mark among the larger legacy brands.
