This Week’s Big Question – Facebook: The New Face of Journalism and Advertising?

As part of FORA.tv’s weekly tradition, our newsletter features a provocative and compelling Big Question, inviting discourse and debate from our community.

This week’s Big Question:

Quoting the social network’s Mark Zuckerberg, Kirkpatrick says, “A squirrel dying in front of your house sometimes matters more to you than people starving in Africa.” Meanwhile, marketing expert Clara Shih explains how advertisers are using Facebook. She demonstrates brands targeting specific audiences based on age, gender, religion, or any other information included on a user’s profile.
